Winter Springs, Fla., (May 15, 2024) - One of the key points in a company's lifecycle is when it can significantly give back to the communities that helped nurture the growth of the company.
Tech Rage IT has hit that mark as its CEO, Erica Martinez-Rose, has agreed to serve on the UCF Integrated Business Advisory Board, starting with the 2024/25 school year.
"This truly brings me around a full circle on my journey with the University of Central Florida," Martinez-Rose says. "The programs that UCF supports, like the Business Incubation Program and others, have truly been instrumental in our success as a company."
Over the past few years, Tech Rage IT has seen tremendous growth in revenues and has been recognized as one of the leaders in providing technology services to businesses. Orlando Business Journal recently named the company a Fire Award winner and the company was named:
- 2023 Florida Companies to Watch Honoree
- 2023 MSP 501 Special Awards Finalist and Newcomer of the Year
- 2023 NextGen 101, an MSP 501 list - No. 40 of 101
- 2023 Top Central Florida Technology Company
- 2023 Woman MSP Contributor of the Year Runner Up
- 2024 CRN's MSP Pioneer 250 listing
The mission of the Department of Integrated Business "is to provide a high-quality, hands-on business education for UCF undergraduates and master's students that emphasizes soft skills development and develops well-rounded multi-disciplinarians who will thrive in an environment that requires them to take on multiple roles and responsibilities for their employer."
"Erica is a great addition to our board. She believes in our mission and our 'business model' aka the way we teach - no textbooks, no lectures, team-based active learning classrooms. She brings multiple perspectives that will excite, motivate, and inform our students and help us keep our programs engaging and relevant," says Dr. Jim Gilkeson, chair, Department of Integrated Business, College of Business, University of Central Florida. "I especially look forward to introducing Erica and the Tech Rage IT team to our students so they can learn what skills, experiences, and characteristics will make them appealing to IT firms like Tech Rage IT."
