Oviedo, Fla., May 20, 2017 - Intersection Technology Solutions' (dba Tech Rage IT) Managing Director, Erica Martinez-Rose helped build homes during Habitat for Humanity Seminole County & Greater Apopka's Women Build Week. On Saturday, Martinez-Rose and her team, Out Making Rain, led by Wendy Sellers of BlackRain Partners, volunteered their time installing drywall on the 4 remaining townhomes at the Magnolia Place construction site in the City of Longwood.

"It was a humbling yet empowering experience to aid Habitat in providing housing to local families," said Martinez-Rose. "I had the privilege to work alongside many amazing women volunteers to make Seminole County & Greater Apopka a better place, while having fun, networking and meeting future homeowners."

Habitat's National Women Build Week invites women to help make a difference and devote at least one day to help build decent and affordable housing in their local communities. The Seminole-Apopka hosted 13 teams over 9 days on the Longwood and Apopka build sites.

"This is our 4th year participating in the National Women Build Week event. In a very short time, the program has grown to become a significant part of our affiliate," said Penny Seater, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County & Greater Apopka. "We continue to be amazed at the number of women coming out to be a part of building strength, stability and self-reliance in our community. It's inspiring to see how they come together, empowering each other and the families."

Out Making Rain raised more than $4,200 through several fundraising efforts, and Women Build Week raised over $143,000 to date, surpassing their goal of $125,000.
